Forget the Wet Paper Towel Method. Just throw them in a bowl of luke warm filtered water with a lid. Don't forget to change the water every few days and add a splash of hydrogen peroxide to stop molding/fungus issues. I bought these dates from Aldi and thought why not try to see if I can get them to germinate. I know they're more of a tropical and warm plant but I figured I could grow them in a pot and watch and see what happens. After 3 weeks it's successfully began to germinate I hope the other ones begin to grow as well.
